Raamat kaduvatest kalavarudest
Sam Sifton tutvustab New York Timesis Paul Greenbergi raamatut Four Fish: The Future of the Last Wild Food, milles autor tutvustab nelja inimese söögilauale teretulnud kalaliiki ja sest huvist tulenevat hukatuslikku mõju antud liikide looduslike populatsioonide arvukusele.Wild fish were once everywhere, of course, in such numbers as to astound. (And still, Greenberg reports, the current global catch of wild fish measures 170 billion pounds a year, "the equivalent in weight to the entire human population of China.") Wild fish seemed to be, as Greenberg puts it, "a crop, harvested from the sea, that magically grew itself back every year. A crop that never required planting."

Amazon tutvustas uut e-lugerit
Jim Milliot kirjutab Publishers Weekly blogis PWxyz, et Amazon tõi avalikkuse ette oma uue e-lugeri Kindle 3.Despite competition form the iPad and other multi-functional devices, Amazon remains convinced there is a place for dedicated e-readers. “The market is even bigger than we thought,” said Russ Grandinetti, v-p of Kindle content about the size of the e-reader audience. He reiterated statements made by Amazon last week that since the company lowered the price of the Kindle to $189 sales have accelerated. Grandinetti said the changes incorporated into the new Kindle—improved screen contrast, a 21% reduction in body size while keeping the six-inch screen, lighter weight (8.7 ounces) and faster page turns—were made in the features that matter most to consumers.
